Québec is in good hands: a bright young woman pursues and cultivates her dreams for our enjoyment. Anick Beaulieu, at 28, is Director of Sales and Marketing at Côté Nord Tremblant, a hotel management company located on Lac Supérieur. A graduate of HEC Montréal, Beaulieu is leveraging technology new to her industry. She uses Web 2.0-based technologies (Facebook and Twitter) extensively, and recruits decisionmaking ‘ambassadors’ and trend leaders from fields such as advertising, public relations, and other cutting edge fields. Beaulieu’s priority is to establish the reputation of Côté Nord Tremblant: an excellent product with great potential for further exposure. She also manages causes that are dear to her, acting as fundraising co-chair for campaigns such as the Starlight Halloween Soirée, in support of the Starlight Québec Children’s Foundation, as well as the Sensations automnales, with proceeds to the Department of Radio-Oncology of the Jewish General Hospital. It’s a lot of work, but “charity involvement is at the centre of my values and those of the company, and it allows me to extend my business network among young people who are involved and high performing, because, after all, we’re a small business.”
Anick works with her father Michel, a co-owner. Their rapport is excellent to the point that she describes him as her mentor. However, with the impetus of Anick, the company’s customer base as well as their staff (employees, PR and advertising) is getting younger. She is fully attuned to those who aspire to quality and originality. Further, she brings a focus to aesthetics and to the overall hotel experience (respect for the environment, contemporary architecture). The nature of the next generation is to dream: so what are her ambitions? To face different challenges, explore everything, overcome obstacles, and manage her own business.
