Sandrine Leduc – Annick D’Amours

Sandrine Leduc and Annick D’Amours will soon be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their company, 3 Femmes & 1 Coussin. A graphic designer by trade, Leduc was drawn to the world of tableware and began painting on dishes. Her work caught the eye of D’Amours, for whom the European art of living has always held a special place. The concept behind 3 Femmes & 1 Coussin was born from this passion and their meeting.

Name three things that you consider essential for a happy life.

SL: Enjoying getting up in the morning and doing what I love. Surrounding myself with inspiring people. Feeling good about myself. I take the steps to ensure that.

AD: Good health. Freedom. Knowing I am loved.

Who matters the most to you?

SL: That’s a tough question. I’m surrounded by people who truly matter to me. Over time, I’ve learned to keep only those who have a real place in my life close.

AD: My partner, my extended family, and my friends. They are all essential to my happiness.

What human qualities are most important to you?

SL: Honesty, reliability, empathy.

AD: Generosity of heart, being a good listener, empathy.

What flaws bother you the most?

SL: Pretentiousness, arrogance.

AD: Lying, arrogance, rudeness.

What are your hobbies? Your passions?

SL: Sports and painting.

AD: Art in all its forms. Walking in the forest. Travelling.

Which city or country do you particularly love?

SL: I love the city of Rome—a blend of history, art, fashion, and food.

AD: Paris and Venice.

Which place (historic monument, park, museum…) do you like the most?

SL: Right near my home, I love going to Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno in the morning before work—it’s so easy to access and offers a liberating breath of fresh air.

AD: There are several, but if I had to choose: the Duomo in Milan, the Musée d’Orsay, and the Grand Palais in Paris.

What would be your biggest personal dream?

SL: To have a studio in Europe and paint year-round (near the sea).

AD: To spend my winters away from the snow, probably in the south of France.
