If photographer Léonie Emmanuelle Duperré is based in Montréal, it’s to take advantage of the flow of creative energy here and for the pleasure of being one of the luminous stars in this metropolis.
Newly arrived back from a wildlife photo safari in South Africa, Léonie Emmanuelle Duperré already plunged into her next project. As this is being written, she is already busy at work decorating her new studio, an inspiring space in an old industrial building. Large windows and walls painted black are her signature decor.
Duperré will open this creative space to happenings and exhibitions for Montréal’s visionary movement. She will host photographers, painters, and current avant-garde artists. She also envisions taking the cream of the crop from these events to Los Angeles where she already organizes events in her villa.
On top of advertising shoots, magazine shoots, and set photography, the artist is open to even the most extravagant of projects. In 2006, her show at Galerie Orange presented a series of nudes portraying woman’s animal instinct. A number of celebrities have called upon her talent and discretion to have pivotal moments in their lives immortalized. A notice to lovers of heavy-duty creation: her studio doors are open to you!
