Launch of the McLaren Artura !

New in every way, the McLaren Artura marks the start of a new era for this pioneering British company.

Building on electrification skills first showcased on the McLaren P1TM hybrid hypercar unveiled in 2012 and most recently the Speedtail Hyper-GT, which entered production this year as the fastest car ever Produced by McLaren with a top speed of 403km / h, the McLaren Artura is McLaren’s first production supercar in the High Performance Hybrid ( HPH ) category.

The new McLaren Artura marks the debut of an all-new compact twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, designed to be combined with an electric motor in a new ultralight high performance hybrid system that delivers the same performance as McLaren V8 engines and delivers the added bonus of improved low-end torque response to deliver impressive acceleration. The McLaren Artura can also be driven in 100% electric mode on daily urban journeys without producing emissions.

First car to be built on an all-new platform architecture optimized for electrification and designed and manufactured in the UK within McLaren Composites Technology Center, the McLaren Artura reinforces McLaren’s commitment to ultralight engineering solutions which originate in motorsport. McLaren’s Ultralight Carbon Architecture (MCLA), which is at the heart of the McLaren Artura, not only gives it the best weight gain in the class, but also a basis for the dynamic excellence inherent in every McLaren.
