Frank Lucia, Director of Marketing, Sales, and Administration at Ceramic Royal, a company specializing in the importation of stone and high grade ceramics, is a big-hearted family man. As proof, thirty years ago, while studying architecture in college the young Frank agreed without hesitation to join his father’s newly created company. Since then, he has followed proudly in the family footsteps.
The accomplishment you are most proud of? My family. I have a 17 year old daughter and a 13 year old son of whom I’m totally proud, even though certain days – which teenagers will have – make me a little crazy.
One thing that most people do not know about you? I am a movie fanatic. Among other things, I use my workouts to watch movies downloaded from iTunes on my iPad. I also watch three to five films weekly in English, French, or Italian. My favorites are serious dramas and thrillers.
Your favourite restaurant… Restaurant Primo & Secondo in Little Italy. In fact, I love all things Italian and especially the simplicity of Italian cuisine, where less is more. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is what makes it irresistible.
Dream vacation? Without question, it takes place in Italy. Last year, my family and I drove from Venice to Sicily. I was enchanted by the charm and warmth of the people especially the more south we drove and, of course, by the food. Without a doubt, this is my favorite destination.
What distinguishes Quebec from the rest of the world… What I particularly like is the cosmopolitan character of Montreal. It’s a melting pot of different nationalities, where we all live in harmony (for the most part ) and learn from each other. If it weren’t for the language issues and tensions we face in Quebec and high taxes, we live in a very nice place! I love wine. No wonder, I’m Italian!
For you, the height of luxury is… A stress free life. Peace of mind.
Three value that define you? Honesty, integrity, loyalty. I would also add work and perseverance.
A cause dear to your heart? There are several in fact, but especially those which help children.
One thing that annoys you? Small talk. I hate wasting my time talking about unimportant things when there are so many interesting topics to discuss.
The gadget you can’t do without? My iPad, my iPhone, my laptop. Some might even call me a techno junkie.
A gift to give to an acquaintance or a friend… Depends on the person of course. A good wine, dinner, or tickets to a show.
