Samuel Charles St-Germain has been working with Daniel Lachance, founder of the eponymous ski shop, since 2006. “I used to work in restaurants, but wanted a change. I came to Mont-Tremblant because I love skiing and snowboarding and there was a job opening at the store,” explains the 38-year-old entrepreneur. The two men immediately hit it off, and Mr. Lachance quickly took note of St- Germain’s interest and motivation. A year ago, St-Germain agreed to take over for his boss, who would like to start spending more time on the slopes! “The transition is happening gradually and since the existing formula is successful, I see no reason to change it. The store will keep the same name and always have 27 full-time employees in place from September to April to provide the most effective and flawless service possible,” he notes.

Like his mentor, St-Germain is focusing the business on every aspect of skiing, from equipment rental and purchase, to ski tune-ups and boot adjustments. “We also have an extensive selection of exclusive clothing and are known for stocking few identical items. Customers appreciate this because they don’t all end up with the exact same outfit. In our store, we don’t really see ourselves as salespeople; we’re here to share a passion for sport with our clients. We listen attentively and do everything we can to ensure that their ski equipment perfectly meets their needs on the slopes.”
