FLOU reinvents the art of sleep

Roche Bobois

Flou : An Italian term borrowed from the world of photography that suggests the idea of softness–appropriate for a company specialized in the field of sleep. In fact, Flou is not only a reference; rather, it is a name that has revolutionized the industry. Flou was born of Bassetti, a reputable textile company. A young Rosario Messina, newly established in Lombardy from his native Sicily, took control of the new entity. The year was 1978, a time when Italy found itself on the verge of a burgeoning design boom that would shape the decades to come.
