This famous mountain in the Laurentians is well known to all, but on the north side lies a well kept secret: luxury log cabins and contemporary suites for rent for a weekend of calm or basic sports activities on the shores of Lake Supérieur.
We’re here at the gateway to the Parc national du Mont-Tremblant. This area is quiet, less densely populated than elsewhere in the region. In recent years the hotel management company Côté Nord Tremblant has offered fifty turn-key serviced cabins for rent. For example, on arrival, just strike a match to light a fire in a fireplace already set for you! Families can unite in homes that house larger groups, physically situated so as to provide some benefit of privacy whether eating out on the large terrace with views, cooking at the barbecue, or taking advantage of the outdoor spa. If something goes wrong, the staff is always onsite, ready to come to your aid: peace of mind guaranteed!
Starting this summer, sixty new suites of one or two bedroom units will be available for rental, featuring contemporary interiors, but with dark brown wood exteriors reminiscent of the Chateau Montebello. Generous windows throughout give the impression of being aboard a boat! All are located just meters from the shores of the lake. The developers have provided additional amenities including a beach, tennis courts, and a heated pool, among others, on the idyllic site of a former religious community holiday camp. Côté Nord Tremblant also makes available to guests kayaks, surfboards and bicycles. Close by, opportunities abound for rafting, rock wall climbing or just for simple day trips. For those who don’t wish to cook, access catering services or the restaurant of Auberge Le Caribou, located nearby. During our visit, as a family, we climbed Mont Nixon (9 km), ate to our heart’s content around the large table in front of the fireplace and savoured the beauty of nature. A memorable trip … and a desire to do it again!
