Valérie Messika grew up in the world of diamonds alongside her father, a renowned diamond merchant. “I had the chance to work for him, to shadow him on all his projects, and accompany him on all his travels. This allowed me to gain a 360-degree view of his craft and inspired me to start my own business,” says the founder of the Paris-born brand. Her early creations immediately attracted attention. She decided to offer affordable prices for diamonds, mostly up to three thousand euros, so that women could buy them for themselves, in the same way they do with clothing or fashionable accessories. “I wanted to celebrate the empowered woman, to elevate her by offering a brand that is not intimidating, thus instilling confidence in her with something new.”

The designer fearlessly challenges the industry’s traditional norms, offering everyone the taste and opportunity to wear diamonds with ease, both everyday jewelry and exquisite fine jewelry. The concept of well-being lies at the heart of her creative process.

Her relentless pursuit of innovation consistently pushes boundaries, driven by her belief in lifelong learning and unwavering trust in her instincts. “I like to follow intuitions to shape the House’s vision and evolution or craft new designs. I draw my inspiration from the world around me, the people I encounter, nature, and especially women!”

As a visionary, she considers femininity as a cornerstone of her creations but now extends her artistry to encompass men’s jewelry. “In recent years, we’ve witnessed the emergence of a society dismantling gender norms and stereotypes. No more constraints, just a shared desire to wear jewelry, free from judgment, for everyone. In my view, jewelry transcends gender and, this year, I introduced two new unisex collections—So Move and Move Link.”

The current House of Messika campaign features Kendall Jenner and Alton Mason who both personify the brand’s distinctive style. “My admiration for Kendall began last year, and our collaboration was so rewarding that I decided to continue the journey. She epitomizes the confident and poised femininity that defines our House.” Inspired by her Californian lifestyle and love for American classics, Valérie captured the campaign’s essence in the Palm Springs desert. “Alton Mason, a model and dancer, plays the leading male role, embodying the modern and unrestrained spirit of the House,” she concluded.
