What if the sophistication of a fine sparkling wine no longer hinged on its alcohol content? That’s the bold vision behind French Bloom, the company co-founded by Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger and Constance Jablonski, which is reshaping the art of celebration with its elegant alcohol-free varieties. A true pioneer in conscious luxury, the brand has become the gold standard worldwide for refined bubbles at 0.0%.
It all began in 2019, at the intersection of two remarkable journeys. Maggie, then head of international development for the Michelin Guide, encountered the limits of haute cuisine while pregnant with her twins. Bubbles were off-limits, and sparkling water hardly felt like a festive replacement. Constance, a French model at the summit of her career, was striving to cut back on alcohol in a world where champagne flows freely at every social gathering. Together, they recognized a profound gap—a lack of festive, alcohol-free options that are both delicious and health-conscious. From that void emerged an ambitious endeavour: to craft a non-alcoholic sparkling wine worthy of the finest champagne houses.

French Bloom breaks free from all compromise. Each cuvée is crafted from organic ingredients, with no added sugars, sulphites or preservatives, and is certified both halal and vegan. A bold choice made at the crossroads of winemaking precision and wellness, with the aim of offering a true alternative to fine champagne, balancing aromatic complexity, structure, and grace.
At the heart of its success is a singular method known as the 0.0% Wine Revelation. The process begins in the Limoux terroir of southern France. Grapes grown in clay and limestone-rich soil are harvested early to capture their freshness. Select varieties are aged for months in new oak barrels, gaining in complexity. The alcohol is gently removed through low-temperature vacuum distillation, preserving the wine’s aromatic integrity. The result? Fine bubbles, floral-mineral nuances, and a complexity rarely seen in non-alcoholic drinks.
Since its debut in France, French Bloom has captivated wine enthusiasts, sommeliers and the world of haute cuisine. Lauded for its excellence, the brand was named Best Alcohol-Free Sparkling Wine at the 2025 World Sparkling Wine Awards and also took home a gold medal at the American Wine Awards that same year. It has become the icon of “flex drinking,” a movement that celebrates joy without sacrifice.
Its imminent arrival in Canada signals a cultural shift. Canadian consumers, increasingly mindful of wellness and sustainability, are embracing alcohol-free dining. French Bloom sees Canada as a thriving market for its inclusive philosophy. And the future? New varieties are already being developed, carrying forward a vision of celebration that is shared freely, fully, and with flair.
