Giuseppe Viganò is the man behind the confident styling of the MADAME C. sofa, part of a collection dedicated to the iconic Coco Chanel, who famously said, “Fashion fades, style remains!” The MADAME C. collection includes sofas, corner pieces, chaises longues and ottomans, all of which can be arranged in multiple combinations.
The MAREA MADIA buffet by designers Zanellato and Bortotto is from a collection of pieces that use metal as a living, changing material. In a process exclusive to De Castelli, overlapping oxidations are applied to brass, copper and iron, creating a watercolour effect reminiscent of waves lapping on the shore.
Comfortable and welcoming, these TAIKI armchairs by Cesar are the fruit of a collaborative effort with Chiara Andreatti. Classical forms are reinvented with a contemporary touch, enhanced by the handsewn stitching along the seams. The nod to the lines and proportions of Le Corbusier is clear, while the heat-treated base in stained ash adds a unique touch.
B-SHELL is a lighting system imagined by Massimo Castagna, who used hand-turned, burnished brass to create these charming, dome-shaped shades. Three pieces in different sizes can be hung at staggered heights, and the steel cables by which they are suspended can be adjusted to tilt the shades and vary the intensity of the diffused LED light.
The BALLOON table, by designer Volodymyr Karalyus, was inspired by the hot-air balloons for which it is named. The highly original base is made of burnished brass, and the round top is in gorgeous Arabesco marble.
SOFTBENCH is a dynamic, multi-purpose modular sofa designed by Massimo Castagna for people with contemporary lifestyles. Six basic pieces (two seats, one armrest, three backs) can be combined freely to create an infinity of personalized seating arrangements. Cool and classy, all pieces come in a variety of coverings and colours.
Designer Matteo Nunziati created this coffee table/storage unit for the Continuum collection. Like all the pieces in the collection, it features a metal frame (with a bronzed or gris sablé finish), beautiful wood and super-clear glass dividers. Perfect for displaying prized possessions, or simply holding your favourite books and magazines. The bottom is available in coffee-brown oak or Canaletto Rialto walnut.
The C-System, by designer Massimo Castagna, is a system of horizontal, wallmounted storage units. Stunning finishes in fossil wood or coffee-brown oak add a special touch, while the compact sizes and simple design allow for a variety of arrangements, suitable for both the living area and the bedroom.
